Awareness Raising & Capacity Building on Ageing Project >>
Background:
Ever increasing size of older population can be a major development issue if timely attention is not paid and system is put in place before it is too late. This alarming trend has drawn the attention of Nepal Participatory Action Network, NEPAN. Keeping this reality in view, NEPAN would like to continue its initiative at this crucial juncture to bring the old age issue in the lime light and contribute in the capacity building process of civil society and government stakeholders in order to prepare individuals, societies and the state for active and dignified ageing in Nepal. Moreover, since the participatory research on old age issue has identified many gaps and issues both at policy level to implementation level, it has become imperative to NEPAN to take the issue further until a supportive and collaborative environment is created to address the elderly issues.
